About Isegran Maritime Center:
The nonprofit company Isegran Maritime Preservation Center AS was granted status as
a regional maritime preservation center in December 2022. Over the past 20 years, a
truly unique maritime cultural community has been built up on the island of Isegran in
Fredrikstad. The cornerstone of this community is the shipyard.
We carry out all types of repairs and restoration projects on larger sailing vessels, gaff-
riggers, and classic sail- and motorboats.
Working with traditional craftsmanship techniques and natural materials helps create a
sustainable and vibrant coastal culture. We aim to make the maritime culture of the
future sustainable by practicing and passing on traditional craftsmanship.

Shipwright/Boatbuilder
About the Position:
- As a shipwright/boatbuilder at our shipyard, you will primarily work on the restoration, repair, and maintenance of historical vessels. We have a range of exciting projects covering most types of historical vessels.
- As a maritime preservation center, adherence to conservation principles is of paramount importance.
- Some travel may be required.
- A trade certificate is an advantage but not a prerequisite for applying.

- You are an experienced and independent shipwright/boatbuilder.
