Course for Young Craftsmen

In spring 2025, in collaboration with Tarpon Seil, we will organize courses for young

craftsmen in our industry.

This course will focus on three closely related disciplines: wooden boatbuilding, rigging,

and sailmaking.

By highlighting the intersections between these crafts, we aim to foster a greater

understanding of each other’s areas of expertise. To become a skilled craftsman in any

of these fields, it’s important to have some knowledge of what the other trades involve,

the challenges they face, and the goals they strive for.

The course will run for 4 days:

Days 1–2: Theoretical sessions and practical exercises at the shipyard.
Days 3–4: A sailing trip aboard a sailing vessel to demonstrate practical challenges and solutions in real-life use.
